Applications for MagniXene™ only
The significant solubility of xenon in blood and tissues provides MagniXene™ with even greater versatility. In lungs, MagniXene™ dissolves through membranes of the capillaries and into the blood. Scanners can sense this process in two ways: First, the time dependence of this behavior exhibits the breadth and depth of each of these compartments. Second, each compartment (tissue, plasma, red blood cells) can be identified by its own signature frequency in the MagniXene™ signal. Furthermore, MagniXene™ is transported away from the lungs by the blood, and becomes measurable in the heart, brain, and other highly perfused organs. Helium based gases such as MagniLium™ can not perform these measurements.
